Although Donna did not make use of the video clips, you may like to look at them.  The first is Miss Julies Monologue from Miss Julie by August Strindberg. Miss Julie is the daughter of a Swedish Count.  In this clip her lover Jean, who is a valet in her father’s household, has just cut off the head of her pet bird:
