However, these can get  busy and traffic wardens actively ticket cars that are parked illegally or on the pavements.  Comments on parking made by previous delegates have varied from excellent to awful.  The St Thomas Centre has joined forces with Powerleague Manchester Central to provide car parking for conference delegates at a reduced cost of £2.50 per day. It takes about 5 minutes to walk from Powerleague to the St Thomas Centre. Driving to the Venue

It is difficult to give driving instructions through Manchester.  The ‘best route’ is dependent on the starting point, the state of traffic and personal preferences.  Here are some thoughts about getting to the car park at Power League.  Power League – Manchester South provides facilities for 5 and 7 a side football.  It is a large, easy to spot facility sponsored by Lucozade.

From the South

The A34, which becomes Upper Brook Street; the A6 Stockport Road; and the A57 Hyde Road are all good ways of getting to Power League, which is near the meeting point of the A6 and A57 at the roundabout beside the Apollo Theatre.   From here take Higher Ardwick, then bear left onto Union Street which takes you past Power League on the right.   If you take the A34 then it is probably best to get onto the the Mancunian Way (A635M) East exiting at the A6 South.  Then stay on the A6 until the roundabout at the Apollo Theatre; take the first exit onto Higher Ardwick and bear left onto Union Street, which takes you past Power League on the right.

From the North

The easiest way is to get onto the Mancunian Way (A635M), exiting at the A6 South.  Then stay on the A6 until the roundabout at the Apollo Theatre; take the first exit onto Higher Ardwick and bear left onto Union Street, which takes you past Power League on the right.
