Stockport Friends Meeting House: 2 Cooper Street, Stockport
The Friends Meeting House is run by the Stockport Quakers. It is a comfortable new building with excellent facilities near to both Stockport Station and the A6 bus routes. There is ample free parking in the dedicated car park and on the roads nearby. When trying to find it the sign on the building says “Quaker Meeting”.

Directions
The Friends Meeting House is on the corner of Longshut Lane and Higher Hillgate,about 1/3 mile from Stockport town centre (Mersey Square). The entrance is through the Meeting House car park on Cooper Street, off Higher Hillgate. Pedestrians can enter through a gate on Longshut Lane.
By car: Turn off the Wellington Road South (A6) onto Longshut Lane – If coming from the North this will be a left turn past the Co-op store and Brookfield House: If coming from the South it will be a right turn just before Brookfield House. Take the first left onto Higher Hilgate then the first left again into Cooper Street. The entrance to the Friends Meeting House is on the left. There is a small but adequate car park immediately in front of the building.
By bus: The 192 and other routes run frequently along the A6. You should alight outside or opposite the Masonic Guildhall, walk south past the Co-op store, then turn left into Cooper Street by Brookfield House. The Meeting house is on the right hand side past a private car park
By train: On arriving at Stockport station, turn right out of the main station exit, then turn right on A6 up the hill past the Town Hall and continue for about 1/4 mile until you pass the Co-op store, or catch the 192 bus (see above).
